SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (June 1, 2018) -- It’s always great to return to a vacation destination and enjoy the tried and true.  However, families make even more great memories when there are new venues to visit and exciting events to enjoy. Come visit with us and check these out:

A GRAND SLAM OF SPORTING EVENTS FOR SPECTATORS

June 8-13 the 11th annual Prospect Wire Southeast Championship will bring in over 90 baseball teams of high school aged youths. This is the 3rd year Sanford’s BOOMBAH Sports Complex in Seminole County will host this event, and it’s not to be missed! You can bet there will be college scouts in the stands with you.

USA Softball of Florida returns to Seminole County for its annual East Coast National Qualifier tournament June 16-17. The event will fill up Soldiers Creek Park, Merrill Park, and the Seminole Softball Complex. This event is projected to bring over 450 athletes and 1,400 total visitors to the county.

June 23-24, USSSA Fastpitch Softball brings its annual summer championship event back to Seminole County, where last year’s event drew over 2,500 visitors to the destination. 80 of Florida’s best fastpitch teams will compete for the title at 4 local venues: Soldiers Creek, Merrill Park, Seminole Softball Complex, and the Oviedo Sports Complex.

June 25-29 the BOOMBAH Sports Complex is welcoming the 9u/12u Super25 National Championship. The Perfect Game National is a rousing baseball competition among kids age 9-12 and will draw over 45 teams from across the nation. Maybe one from your hometown.

Teaming up for the first time, softball powerhouses Boombah and Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) bring the first of many shared softball events to Soldiers Creek, June 29-July 1. This inaugural tournament will draw over 30 elite fastpitch teams to Seminole County, along with over 1,000 visitors in its first year.

June 30-July 5 the Baseball Youth Nationals will be returning for a 3rd consecutive year at the BOOMBAH Sports Complex, the Baseball Youth Nationals, will bring over 50 teams and 1,500 room nights to Seminole County. Book your hotel rooms early for travel over these dates.

July 7-8 - A Seminole County mainstay returns. Florida Half Century brings its unique brand of adult slowpitch softball to the Boombah Sports Complex for its Stars and Stripes Slugfest, consisting of its advanced 60+ age division. This event regularly brings over 80 teams to the destination.

You’ve just gotta get out to the ballpark July 14-15. Returning to the BOOMBAH Sports Complex for a 2nd consecutive year, the Florida All-Star Games will draw over 400 top ballplayers from across the Sunshine State for this weekend showcase.

Nations Baseball will pack the house July 21-22 when they host the Summer Slugfest at the BOOMBAH Sports Complex. Don’t miss all the action as the next generation of baseball players develop their skills.

INSIDE ATHLETICS AND CHALLENGES
